Andy Dick *isn't* gay. He is bisexual, and has identified as such for a number of years. Some people (including the blogger you linked to above) believe that when someone says they're not gay, it means that they're straight. This view attempts to erase the existence of many, many bisexuals who are rendered invisible by those who can only seem to see the world in terms of either/or.
By proudly wearing the label of bisexual amidst this kind of intolerance and deliberate misunderstanding, Dick should be praised for his honesty, not belittled by those who just don't get it. And the video clip is hilarious. Go, Andy -- I'm a big fan.
