'Confessions of an Angry Hustler'

Radar Online has an interview today with escort Mike Jones, the man who felled pastor Ted Haggard.

A few choice excerpts:

[Is Haggard a ] bottom, or power bottom?
Well, let me just say ... yes, bottom.

What turned Reverend Haggard on the most about you?
I think my body, for sure. Also, it probably didn't hurt that I'm pretty well-endowed.

Reverend James Dobson, of Focus on the Family, basically said he didn't have time to help save this man, who had been one of his closest friends—

Dobson doesn't want any connection with him. Since this happened, lots of people have asked me if I think Dobson is gay, too. My answer to that is yes.

Was Reverend Haggard kinky in bed?

I'm not going to comment too much on kinkiness, but I can say that he certainly did enjoy having sex with me.

Would you call him vanilla?

Well, for the most part, I would use the term vanilla. But I guess every once in a while you could throw some chocolate in.

Did he ever kiss you or act affectionately, or did he restrict his visits to sex?

No, we kissed.

That's very sweet.

[LAUGHS] Well, I aim to please.

So no one from the Human Rights Campaign or The Gay and Lesbian Victory Fund has even called you? At the very least they could invite you to a chic cocktail party with David Geffen.
I'd be happier if they bought me a loaf of bread and some peanut butter.

Then, tell me:
1) After reading the interview, do you have more or less (or unchanged) sympathy for Mike Jones and the personal sacrifice he made in coming forward?

2) Do you think the gay community should be doing more to embrace Mike Jones for outing Haggard?

I question the motive of the Confession.  Does it make him feel better that he got it off his chest?

Just about every man or women have had some kind of sexual experience that was done in curosity.  No person is perfect.  Destroying one person to feel better about themself is self-centered.

I would prefer not revealing the details of any of my escapades.  It was between adults and so no one is to blame, but the participants.

Thank You!

Are you kidding?!!

If a person is actively campaigning to deny basic civil rights to gay people, they forfeit their right to secret gay sex.

These self hating fags need to deal with their own messed up shit before they set about legislating the rights of others away.

No cock for the enemies of cock lovers!

Mark (the comment before this one): If you were preaching to others that what you do is a sin (and worse), while pretending you don't do it, I'd say that would be reason to out you.

I am generally opposed to outing.  People who choose to keep their private lives private deserve to have their choices respected.  However, Reverend Haggart chose to publically condemn homosexuality, not once but many times, and also chose to enter the fray regarding a ballot issue aimed at denying people who love each other from legalizing that love.  I believe that Mr. Jones did the right thing by speaking up.

Hopefully, Rev. Haggart "spiritual retreat" will lead him to realize that the real sin is not his gay relationships, but his hypocrisy.  And as far as Jeff Gannon's comments go about Mr. Jones damaging Rev. Haggart's wife and children - apparently he is untroubled about Rev. Haggart's hate-filled rhetoric damaging families across America, and about the personal jeopardy that he may have placed his wife in by being sexually unfaithful.

I think it's disgraceful that no gay orginaztions have  come forward to celebrate and praise this guy. I'm not sure what that's about. Maybe because he's a hustler and there are drugs involved. But that can't be it. Drugs are like  oxygen in the gay world(for most people). If they dissaprove of his career choice, that would be a joke also. There's a lot of dissaproval with in the gay community of ourselves(he's a drag quenn, he's a hustler, etc). If Mike Jones wasn't in the profession he was in, this would have never come to light. I don't think you can wait around for actors and sports figures  to come out or stand up for what they believe in. Mike did a very courageous thing. I have a feeling Haggard will end up profiting more from this expierence than Mike  Jones will in a lot of ways. Anyway, I wish Mike a lot of luck and hope things return to "normal" for him soon.

To usafsarge7:  No, they don't say "streight." Only illiterate people say "streight <sic>."  Still, I commend you for attempting to spell such a hard word.

Let's put it this way, hustlers are treated publicly with disrepute by the gay community.

As one example, the Washington Blade, the DC gay paper, repeatedly referred to a murder suspect as a gay prostitute. The victim was a gay drug dealer. But the paper called the victim a former accountant -- because that was the job that he had years before turning to meth and other gay-use drugs!  There were friendly quotes from the "accountant's" friends but the hooker was always a hooker.
