AfterElton.com has an update on the Thomas Roberts story from a couple days ago. Some of
us were wondering if the CNN anchor's recent appearance at a gay journalists'
conference was in any way related to his subsequent job reassignment,
effectively bumping him from his role as anchor of 'Headline
News.'
Roberts tells AfterElton that the two are wholly
unrelated. He also shares some interesting tidbits about his coming out process,
life as an on-air anchor, and offers up some advice for up-and-coming
journalists and the merits of being out.
