Abercrombie?

Well, at least that's settled.

I would think someone in their 50s would be too old ... needs more choices. I think of Abercrombie as a 'look at me confidence' thing, because you can buy elsewhere for cheaper and look as good or better, and I figure someone in their 40s or 50s would have that confidence. Just a thought.
I think people should be free to wear whatever they want at whatever age they are!

Evidently Abercrombie & Fitch has their own built-in age discrimination policy. In late March of this year, I went into the Augusta (Georgia) Mall location, looking for a pair of baggy camo shorts. I look younger than my 46 years, with a 36 inch waist, and felt that this was an age-appropriate item for me.
I was in the store for fifteen to twenty minutes, and the store was not busy at all. As I looked through disorganized stacks of shorts looking for my size, the sales crew ignored me. There were at least three sales clerks on the floor. One young female clerk pointed and laughed as I left the store in disgust. I left that store and went to JCPenney and bought a comparable product for less than half the A&F price.
I visited the corporate website and sent them an e-mail describing the details of my visit, and never even received an e-mail acknowledging that I had written them. Abercrombie & Fitch evidently wants all their customers to be 19 years old, and beautiful - and this 46-year old can find other places to spend his money.
